This training course is for persons who may foreseeably disturb asbestos while carrying out their normal everyday work or who may influence how work is carried out; including site managers, site supervisors, tradesmen, labourers and maintenance staff. The course curriculum is mapped against the requirements of Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 for Asbestos Awareness Training and is delivered by our Chartered Safety and Health Practitioners and includes:
The properties of asbestos and its effects on health, including the increased risks to smokers
How to avoid risks from asbestos
General procedures to be followed to deal with an emergency
Types, uses and the likely occurrence of asbestos containing materials in buildings and plant
Candidates who achieve a satisfactory pass in the multiple choice examination will be awarded a certificate of achievement.
Courses are delivered at your premises (subject to suitability of facilities) or can be delivered in Witney, Oxfordshire subject to an additional charge.
